The cosmic rage bait is approaching us and it is the Aries stellium on steroids. It starts coming together on April 9th with Mars entering Aries, and the energy will remain extremely martian all the way into the beginning of the Taurus season. This whole period is so jam packed and impatient, so full of both momentum and limitations, it requires all the awareness and maturity to understand that it is not now or never, it is now and every day and month that follows. The effort we are making right now has to become a consistent choice in life for at least the next 3 years. Burn bright and die fast is not what is prescribed by this period, but it will be an impulse hard to resist for so many. Urgency is real, so has to be the understanding what else is even more real. Sustainability and commitment, courage that is not a one off blitz, but a deliberate strategy that requires patience. What is real is that we have no choice but to begin to take risks, but it is a very humble beginning, but it is not a denial of entry. Subtlety and intentionality are so rewarding right now, but they are so hard.

Let’s look at how these energies create a story that takes place in your Aries house. On April 9th Mars enters Aries and any leftovers of the victim/blame mentality that were still trying to take hold while Mars was in Pisces are now kicked to the curve. It is not how others burn you, but how you burn yourself. It is a period when we need to discern the ways we harm ourselves repeatedly, we need to carefully take this sharp Mars and sit with it for a moment. I know sitting still with Mars in Aries seems counter intuitive, considering there is so much to be done. But it is the best thing you can do if you understand the journey that Mars in Aries has to go through before any constructive action plan can come together and be acted upon. The decisions that we are making now are very consequential, yielding this energy is granted to those who are prepared to be responsible for the outcome. The test of this moment is NOT about our ability to initiate, it is whether we are capable of holding the initiation, carrying it through- Saturn and Neptune are right there.

Do we have what it takes to operate this much sharpness with this much momentum? I look around at powers that be, and it is clear that they are beginning this cycle mismanaging sharpness and momentum. What will we do, what will you do with this much cutting potency? I suggest you sharpen this knife further, it is not sharp enough, and you are not ready to use it just yet, trust me.

As soon as Mars enters Aries it starts approaching Neptune, the conjunction perfects on April 12th. There is no clarity in regards to how much power, stamina and strength is actually present. Internally and externally. The miscalculation of those qualities will be a demise of some and rise of others, I am thinking of both people and large entities. Underestimations and overestimations are written all over this transit. Neptune transits, especially to Mars are not for certainty, they are for letting God to intervene, they are for pleading for forgiveness and remembering that your force can always be diffused by something you can never grasp. On the collective scale this is war on water, this an escalation of the water related issues. This is in the worst case contamination of water. If Mars doesn’t gain a spiritual, more elevated perspective on things, Neptune will dissolve or contaminate this Mars. The idea of self sacrifice, wasted efforts and a holy war are all on the table. Make sure you have a physical outlet for these days, that you use your Mars to imagine a better action plan, to disengage from what drains, confuses and poisons you.

After the disorienting and in some cases blindly confident Mars/Neptune conjunction, we get to the New Moon in Aries on April 17th. I’ll write about it separately, but it is here that resisting inner chaos gets really hard, so double down on inner re-organization. Put down on paper all your frustrations and break them down into actionable small steps where you are not gripped by the mounting pressure. This time is asking for an inner vertical, not an inner child throwing a temper tantrum. I say this with the most compassion, but it has to be said. Process what pulls you away from radical maturity, and into the wasteland of inflamed directionless motion.

On April 19th the passage comes to a key meeting, the triple Mars/Saturn/Mercury at 7º of Aries. All the Aries ramblings were leading us to this point of decisive choice. My astrology teacher compares Mars/Saturn conjunctions to the story of the sword and the stone from the tales about king Arthur. I think it is the best analogy for all of us. Pulling the sword out of the stone and yielding its power has little to do with strength, it has everything to do with the right to do so, it is about inner honesty. Nothing is more painful than seeing things clearly, and nothing more liberating. In Aries Saturn tasks us with coming into courage of seeing ourselves clearly. What if you were granted the strength to swing the sword, what would you do with this much authority over your own life. What if Saturn gave you a green light to act, what would you do, how mindful or mindless the battle would turn out to be. What are you initiating, what is your motive, are you ready to take responsibility for this initiation, is your initiation aligned with what god intended for you? This whole Aries stellium is about organizing your inner chaos, not rushing anywhere, and choosing honesty above all.

With Love, Mariana
