Happy Sunday,
We posted a new reel this week, recapping our most recent trip to Portugal. It’s short, a couple of minutes, and it’s us, at the factory in Manhente, outside Braga, talking about why we make our socks in Portugal.
Not a polished brand film. Just the factory floor, the people who work there, and an honest answer to a question we get more than any other: why Portugal?
The short answer is the people. The longer answer is that the people are the reason everything else works, the quality of the knit, the responsible sourcing of materials, the fact that what ends up on your feet was made with real intention by people who care about what they’re producing. You can feel that in the sock. We think you can see it in the video.
We’ve talked about the factory before in this newsletter. The town, the family that runs it, the yarns that come in from Spain and Portugal. But there’s something about seeing it, the machines, the hands, the place, that makes it real in a way that text can’t fully get to. Plus, the country is a beautiful place to visit!😉
Take a minute, and go watch it.
As always, thank you for reading! Enjoy the news below, and we wish you a great week!
Hope you enjoy today’s Clean Up. We would love to hear from you. Comment here on Substack, hit us on social, or email us at info@arvingoods.com. Have a great week. Cheers,

The 20 graphic designers inspiring us the most in 2025 - Creative Boom
The graphic design landscape in 2025 is one of both tremendous opportunity and significant challenge. As brands seek authentic connections with increasingly diverse audiences, the demand for designers who can navigate cultural nuance while maintaining commercial appeal has never been higher. Meanwhile, the rise of AI tools is forcing the industry to double down on what makes human creativity irreplaceable: conceptual thinking, cultural insight, and emotional resonance.
That’s where this carefully curated list comes in. To identify the graphic designers making the biggest impact right now, we turned to our global community of creatives, art directors and industry insiders. The result is a diverse collection of voices from around the world, each bringing their own unique perspective to the practice of visual communication.👨🏻💻🎨

The most loved photo stories of March 2026 - DAZED
This month, the most-loved photo series published on Dazed take us from the sun-kissed banks of the Danube to a backwater in the Mojave Desert with Nadia Lee Cohen and Scarlett Carlos Clarke. Whispers Against My Neck is mostly shot during the dog days of a Deep South summer, while Brianna Capozzi’s portraits of formidable women are just pure hot. Water Over Thunder invites us to delve into the fathomless depths of Larry Sultan’s reflections on the art and craft of photography, while Catherine Opie’s To Be Seen invites us to contemplate the privilege of visibility as she reclaims the communities and individuals whose visibility has been suppressed or imperilled. Chanel Victor and Alice Mann both turn their lenses toward nightlife and the fantasy it offers – Victor shoots portraits of Parisian performers; Mann documents prom nights across schools in South Africa. Domino Leaha’s Unfulfilled is a meditation on heartbreak, while Nan Goldin’s Sisters, Saints and Sibyls confronts the rawest sorrow and loss imaginable.📸🧒🏼

Trump’s latest tariffs face trade court showdown - The Hill
President Trump’s new tariffs are headed for a court showdown Friday.
The U.S. Court of International Trade will take the bench to consider Trump’s 10 percent global levy he imposed after the Supreme Court struck down his previous tariffs as illegal over his use of emergency powers to impose them. Democratic-led states and small businesses are challenging the new round, hoping it’ll meet the same fate.
“This is another case where the President invokes a statute to impose whatever tariffs he wants, its limits be damned,” the states wrote in court filings.
