Storms Arrive ... Maybe Wednesday Night Into Thursday?

Morning clouds to the south suggest our atmosphere is getting ready to transition to something closer to normal. Moisture is moving through southeast Arizona this morning. Our dew point jumped nearly 10 degrees overnight, and is now at 56 degrees.

Regardless, we’re not done with this unacceptable heat wave courtesy of a whopper of a heat dome.

It will take a bit of work for the moisture to force the dry air out of Maricopa County. Between now and Wednesday/Thursday, it might be a good idea to take care of the little details that don’t get a lot of attention in your life.

Also courtesy of the National Weather Service, we had yet another drier-than-average July paired with a top-10 warm month. We’ve consistently had below-average July precipitation since July 2019. I realize some readers will say “well duh it’s supposed to be hot in Phoenix in summer”. Not this hot, not four-consecutive ridiculous July events! Where is July 2021 when you need it?
