Spring Training is one of the most unique aspects of a professional sport. Roughly a month of exhibition games all centered around Arizona or Florida.
Obviously we’re digging into the Cactus League, 15 major league teams in the Phoenix metro area and that many chances to meet all of the players. You hear about the deals or casual atmosphere of Spring Training games that lend itself to autographs or interactions with players.
The true experience of Spring Training is the open practices.
This is a time that fans are allowed on the backfields of the Spring Training facilities, getting to be just a few feet away from some of the greatest names in baseball today. No other time will you get a better chance at an autograph or interaction with players than open practices.
I’ll include my first workout dates for the Cactus League teams below from my other article.
I will share all the resources available and what tips I may have. Note, the information shared here is for the 2026 season and please abide by all posted rules for each facility.
Please review each site prior to heading out as access or schedules may change.
American Family Fields of Phoenix - Milwaukee Brewers
3805 N. 53rd Ave
Phoenix, AZ 85031
Brewers will take batting practice and other drills on practice fields 2 and 3 prior to home games. These are the closest practice fields to the actual ballpark. There is only access to these fields via gate on the east side by the unpaved lot, but there is no guarantee this will be unlocked.
On game days that the Brewers will be traveling, they will take batting practice around 10AM with the ballpark gates opening at 9AM.
The Brewers do not provide a specific page regarding practice, so this information is only gleamed from experiences online.
