The NC Dinos from the KBO will be playing exhibition matches against MLB teams in the valley later this month.

As these games take place the same day as Spring Training games at their respective venues, I have to assume these will be played on the practice fields with either split squads or prospects as regular Spring Training games are scheduled at the same time.

There is also no confirmation if public access will be allowed, but I would think the best bet is the White Sox game on Sunday, March 1st. Practice fields might close once a spring training game commences, but the posted access hours is 9AM-4PM.

The 11AM NC Dinos game sits perfectly in that window with the Dodgers game starting at 1PM.

From the NC Dinos release, please note that this was thrown through a translator so wording may not be 100% accurate.

The NC Dinos will play exhibition games against three Major League Baseball (MLB) teams during the second phase of their 2026 spring training camp to test their game readiness.

NC will play their first exhibition game against the San Diego Padres in Peoria, Arizona, on February 28 (local time). They will then face the Chicago White Sox in Glendale on March 1, followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers at the same venue on March 3. The White Sox game is scheduled to be operated under an arrangement agreed upon by both clubs, where NC pitchers will take the mound for the White Sox during the 8th and 9th innings.

NC has structured these exhibition games as a core schedule that goes beyond simple practice matches. The goal is to maximize game readiness while simultaneously conducting multi-faceted pitcher management and assessing team strength. NC secured local stadium usage and training schedules before and after each game, finalizing an efficient itinerary. This allows the team to maintain optimal training conditions even on game days.

While past U.S. spring training camps offered excellent training environments and climate, securing evaluation game opponents remained a persistent challenge. However, NC has laid the groundwork to significantly enhance the effectiveness and completeness of training by securing evaluation game series with three MLB clubs. In particular, the practice-focused games against high-caliber MLB teams are expected to be a crucial opportunity to significantly elevate the quality of CAMP 2. This process is anticipated to lay the groundwork for building a competitive roster, ensuring the team enters the new season opener with peak performance and conditioning.

NC Dinos General Manager Lim Sun-nam stated, “Through these exhibition games against three MLB teams, we have secured an opportunity to compete against high-caliber players. I believe this CAMP 2 will be a meaningful time for our players to assess their progress and enhance their adaptability for the upcoming season.”

NC has maintained intense training throughout CAMP 2 and plans to build its optimal lineup for the season opener through these competitive games against Major League teams.”

This is a prime chance to catch a KBO team if you missed them in Tucson or the LG Twins in Scottsdale. There isn’t anything posted regarding these matches on the english/MLB side, but I’ll add more details as they become available.
