I’m so excited to share a sneak peak into my friend and NYT best-selling author Adeena Sussman’s new cookbook: Zariz. This is Adeena’s third cookbook and it reflects a smoother, more streamlined cooking approach embodied in the Hebrew word for quick, ZARIZ: 100 Easy, Breezy, Tel Aviv-y Recipes. Pre-order the cookbook here!

Today, Adeena is giving us a taste of her new book — two vibrant yet simple recipes that can be served for a weekend brunch. The first, a brilliant take on shakshuka, a recipe that’s beloved in my kitchen as well. Adeena makes this version of shakshuka in the oven instead of the stove top. It also highlights sunny vegetables like sungold tomatoes, yellow peppers, and sweet potatoes.

Next, there’s a gorgeous green salad with labaneh-lime dressing that truly lives up to its name. I love a show stopping salad especially when it checks all the boxes: creamy-sweet-crunchy-and spicy. As Adeena promises it’s a quick salad that comes together in one bowl and it’s coated in a bright and tangy yogurt lime dressing that is so refreshing.

Enjoy the recipes and check out Adeena’s newsletter to get a glimpse into her sunny kitchen in Tel Aviv.

Shabbat Shalom,

Arielle
