2. About the Service

TestMyReading.com provides reading speed and comprehension practice tools for informational and educational purposes only. The Site is not a certified assessment, and results may vary by device, environment, and user behavior.

3. Intellectual Property Rights & AI Content

Unless otherwise stated, we (and/or our licensors) own the Site and all related intellectual property rights, including the design, layout, user interface, and the compilation/selection/arrangement of content and test materials.

AI/curated reading materials: Some reading passages may be generated by artificial intelligence or curated from permissible sources for benchmarking and educational use. We do not claim exclusive ownership over every individual narrative idea or fact contained in such passages. However, we retain rights in the compilation and presentation of materials on the Site.

4. Permitted Use & Acceptable Use

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial use unless we explicitly permit otherwise. You agree not to:

• misuse the Site (e.g., attempt to disrupt, overload, or damage the Site)
• use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Site in a way that harms performance or violates applicable law
• reverse engineer, bypass, or interfere with security-related features

5. Pro Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation, Refunds & Price Changes

Billing cycle and automatic renewal: Pro Monthly is billed when you subscribe and automatically renews each month. Pro Annual is billed when you subscribe and automatically renews each year. Your subscription continues until you cancel it. PayPal and Creem process current Pro checkout and recurring billing, depending on the payment option you select. The price, provider, and billing cycle are shown before you confirm.

How to cancel and when cancellation takes effect: You may cancel through the account subscription page, which opens the billing service connected to your subscription (PayPal or Creem), or directly through that provider. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid the next charge. Cancellation stops future automatic renewal. The provider's confirmation controls the effective time: Pro access ends when that provider reports the subscription canceled or expired, and some cancellation actions may take effect immediately.

Refunds: Cancelling does not automatically refund the current billing period or unused time. Contact admin@testmyreading.com about billing errors or accidental purchases. Refund requests are reviewed case by case, subject to applicable law.

Price changes: We may change the prices offered to new subscribers, but an active subscription keeps the price it started at. New pricing applies to new subscriptions; if you cancel and subscribe again later, the price then offered will apply.

6. Disclaimer

The reading speed results and comprehension scores are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

The Site and all materials are provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, and disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Accuracy of AI Content: Some generated passages may contain inaccuracies or odd phrasing and are intended for reading practice rather than factual reference. Do not rely on test texts as factual knowledge.

If you are a consumer located in the EEA/UK, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall TestMyReading.com or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of the use or inability to use the Site.
