In the 1990s I taught myself programming by making everything from QBASIC graphical adventures, spawling ZZT and WorldBuilder epics, buggy RPGs in Visual Basic and TurboPascal, unfinished platformers in C, and Conway's Game of Life in JavaScript. Since 2012 I've worked on many other games on many systems, including mobile, web, console, and desktop: premium, freeware, and even a health game for institutional settings. |
1991 My very first game was a platformer with quiz minigames written in PET-BASIC for the Commodore VIC-20. It was very bad, but it was a start! 😆🚀 You played as that little red dot, which was supposed to be a slime. 🩸 |
