Events I've Worked On

A website mockup for QGCon. The conference logo is shown, together with the full name, The Queerness and Games Conference. Under this is a brief description: 'QGCon brings together scholars, developers, and players to discuss the intersection of queer theory, LGBTQ issues, and games.'.
QGCon
2025
My favorite gaming event! A meeting point for academics and developmers exploring games in the context of queer theory. The next event is still in the works. So far I've secured a venue, assisted with organizing on-site day-of volunteers, and researched and archived past games.
A digital flyer advertising an event sponsofred by Gaming for Everyone at GDC 2023, the Community Networking Lounge & Scholarship Program. Several G4E community logos are shown. A photo of setup before an event on the Microsoft Redmond campus. White pavillions are set up over dining tables and a long buffet
Xbox Gaming for Everyong
2021 - 2023
I worked for two seasons for Xbox's Gaming for Everyone team as an assistant events coordinator and swag manager. During this time I helped organize dozens of events: virtual or in-person, local or away. The last event I was involved in for Xbox was G4E's presence at GDC 2023.
A photo showing myself and two others talking in the orientation area for visitors. The faces of those other than me have been pixelated so as to preserve privacy. A photo of a slide explaining the different types of buttons at GDC 2017 and what access they entitle their holder to.
Game Developers Conference
2015 - 2017
North America's largest industry-facing games event lasting an entire week and attracting tens of thousands. I worked as a Conference Associate two years, assisting speakers and attendees.
A murky photo of a purple-litten hall at MAGFest 2016. A well lit photo of the MIVS ops table at MAGFest 2016.
MAGFest Indie Videogame Showcase
2015 - 2017
Probably the premier games music event anywhere! I was the primary MIVS contact for educational and charitable organizations. I also staffed MIVS ops on site, helped judge submissions, served on the monthly planning committee, and assisted game developers.
A large group of North American anime fans outside a convention center on a bright autumn day. The sky is clear and most people are wearing cosplay. The faces of individuals are not visible. A photo of the dealers' room at Anime Banzai 2013, originally taken for security purposes. The room is closed, the dealers' displays covered in sheets, the aisles empty. It will be a busy day tommorrow!
Anime Banzai
2005 - 2014
Utah's primier Japanese fandom event! Three days and 5000 attendees at peak. I began on my first year assisting with viewing rooms and cleanup; by my last three years I ran the Dealers' Hall, Second Hand Sale, the Dances, and was Events second in command.
A flyer advertising Oscillation Festival 3 and listing the bands playing.
Oscillation Festival 3
2003
An anual local underground electronic music festival in Albuquerque, NM. I had a very small role helping with set up of chairs and a single instrument — my first taste of events organizing!
A photo from an event showing the bold statement: 'Gaming Couch Is Only For Gaming'.
Gaymer X, IndieCade, PAX East, PAX West, and Many More
2012 - present
In addition to organizing events, I have staffed and run booths at gaming industry events across the USA and Canada.

In 2024 I showed Yurivania 3 at Videcrow, a local queer games popup event.
