Full Disclouse: This is long and rambly, and perhaps an overly complicated examination of something that already has a rather simple interpretation.

There’s this Deltarune thought that has been bouncing in my head since Chapter 5, specifically regarding the “blue and pink” drink voucher. I agree with the trans-coding interpretation. Still, I think there is another aspect to this that showcases both Deltarune’s usage of color symbolism, as well as the relationship between Kris and Ralsei.

Before the trans implications of the scene became REALLY obvious, my first thought about the blue and pink drink voucher was that it was meant to represent Kris. Blue and Pink are both colors that have been associated with Kris, most notably, in their Dark World bedroom…

very core memory from the height of the “queer is a SLUR we can’t just add it to the acronym” online discourse is when my schools gsa started using it and so they started saying LGBTQ in the anncounments, and some cishet guy in my class was like “what the fuck does queer mean?”

i tried to watch someone play mgs out of curiosity for a cultural icon ive never seen. but i had to mute the stream cuz in one of the early missions there was a noise that played repetitively that was giving me some bad misophonia, and then i closed the window and had an adhd moment and you know the rest.

but i DID manage to lock in for the sequel and holy shit that game is actually fucking awesome. there are so many things where if you told me about them i would have actually locked in and checked out the game sooner. i get why this is such a big thing now. ill probably circle back to the first one eventually, adhd be damned.

I’ve been in this weird “man remember when I really wanted to do theater but the mysterious force in the universe conspired to make sure that in the 8 years of schooling that was an option I never could do it” state of mind and just checked my email and got three messages from my school about how I could fill up the empty space in my schedule. ive finally upgraded my sheet music from castle town for babies to castle town for slightly less than advanced babies and something im starting to realize is that after the first couple times i play through a piece and stop making mistakes i completely stop reading the sheet music and just play from memory, which is really bad when you have a bunch of new chords to play that weren’t there before.
