The 2026 South Dakota Secretary of State election will be held on November 3, 2026, to elect the Secretary of State of South Dakota. Incumbent Republican secretary of state Monae Johnson ran for re-election, but lost renomination to state representative Heather Baxter at the state Republican convention.[1][2]
