We will be discussing The Birthgrave by Tanith Lee.

Tanith Lee doesn’t seem to be well known these days but she has written over 90 novels and indeed two episodes of Blake’s Seven. The Birthgrave is her first adult novel. There is an obituary of Lee on the Guardian web site that has a nice summary of her career.
