RISC 2500, (Saitek RISC 2500, Kasparov RISC 2500)
a dedicated chess computer with an ARM6 32Bit RISC Processor at 14 MHz, produced and market by Saitek in 1992, running a The King based program by Johan de Koning. With 128 KB of high-speed static RAM expandable to 2 MB, RISC 2500 applied a state of the art Transposition Table, balanced search-extensions and some checks in quiescence search made the RISC an excellent mate solver. An entertaining and attacking playing style is typical for De Koning programs 1. The RISC 2500 participated at the WCCC 1992 in Madrid with 3/5, the Manufacturers Group of the WMCCC 1993 in Munich, and the Aegon 1993 and Aegon 1994 man-machine tournaments.
