Charles Roberson,
an American computer scientist and as chess programmer, author of the chess engines NoonianChess, Telepath and Ares 1. He graduated in 1986 from Elon University, Elon, North Carolina, and developed his first program NoonianChess for five years to participate at the WCCC 2002 in Maastricht 2.

ACCA

Charles Roberson serves as organizer of the Americas' Computer Chess Association (ACCA), the associated Americas' Computer Chess League 3 with the ACCA Americas' Computer Chess Championship from 2006 until 2012, and the annual ACCA World Computer Rapid Chess Championship.
