Paganism, animism, and Heathenry have been potent interests and inspirations of mine for 12+ years. I would describe my practice as an animistic-polytheistic Heathen monasticism centered around the gods and goddesses of the death in Norse paganism, as well as the ancestors. Given that I tell oral stories and I also teach, retreat as a spiritual and healing practice is the not-so-secret key to my religious liturgical year.
In my 20s, I spent time wandering in other traditions. Even today, I can sometimes be found sitting in meditation halls or churches. From that wandering, Apollo has remained as a tutelary deity in my practice.
My most rooted goddess is Hela Half-Rotted, and I have a formal oathbound commitment to Her as of 2022. Her family is an anchor-point on my shrine. I also offer deliberate libations to spirits of Story, and have intentional relations to spirits as muses.
