Ashes from the Seas (also AFTS, Ashes, or Ashverse) is a fictional fantasy setting revolving around an earth with various sea clusters, and the lives within them. Its chaotic history throughout the years is heavily influenced by the existence of magic—a power with a vast potential and endless growth—gifted to its living beings.
What is this, exactly?
Ashes from the Seas is a fan canon/universe of Arcaneverse games (Arcane Adventures, World of Magic, Arcane Odyssey) that culminated into its own derivative canon. In a way, this is essentially a glorified fan content storage.
Ashverse features:
- adjustments to the canon lore
- original fan characters
- my own takes on canon characters
i got heavily attached to - several interactions between my fan characters and canon characters (including OC x Canon content)
The contents are loosely based on canon, and it's created for personal entertainment first and foremost.
This whole thing began to shape up ever since 2019 (with a few concepts prior to this point). However, I've officially declared it to be its own thing on 2025!
Personal Boundaries/Guide
This is more of "it'd be nice if you guys follow this", rather than anything I'd kill you for. It's pretty much an attempt to make sure everyone's roughly on the same page as me lol
- Do NOT use this as a reference for canon lore. I will cry (either out of amusement or embarrassment).
- The canonical levels can vary a lot, from "heavily based on canon text" to "what the hell is going on".
- If you're familiar with the source material, you can just call this universe "BNT's Fanon Arcaneverse" or anything to a similar effect too.
- For canon characters: as long as you don't genuinely conflate my fan content with the source material, then I'm good. Think of them as my own interpretations of those characters.

Miscellaneous
- Ashverse wasn't the main reason I created APCverse. However, it does inspire a lot of ideas in APCverse—to the point I nickname Ashverse as "a supplier for APCverse".
- I don't have an exact day for the first mentions of this, sadly. But I remembered it's roughly sometime during 2019 (with proto-ashverse back in 2016), then I've made Ashverse section on this site on December 30th 2024! So yeah, I'm setting that date as Ashverse's birthday!
