As “allergy season” tries to take me down having had a few sneezing episodes, it made me think back to when my allergies used to be so much worse. I remember how exhausting they were—trying to carry on as usual when I could barely breathe.
In those moments, I would have done anything to feel normal again. Just to breathe with ease.
And that got me thinking...
What if the things that matter most to us when we’re not feeling well… mattered just as much when we are?
When we’re sick, overwhelmed, or heart-heavy, everything becomes crystal clear.
What truly matters rises to the surface.
The people who check in. The cup of tea. The quiet. The grace.
But when we feel better—when we’re well—we so often get swept back into the noise.
What if we didn’t?
What if we chose to nurture what’s priceless—even in the good times?
The friendships that restore us.
The rituals that nourish us.
The time we can never get back.
The energy that fuels our joy.
Maximize the priceless.
Let’s not wait for life to remind us what really counts.
(Whispering this to myself, too…achoo!)
