For my birthday, I generally like to travel someplace. This year to mark 74 (OMG how did I get this old?) I took my birthday portrait…
But before we arrived in North Adams in the Berkshires, we stopped along the way at the Griffin Museum of Photography. I’ve been a member for a few years now but had never been there. I was lucky enough to see the work of this wonderful photographer
I’m not sure who’s idea it was to put those graffti like images on the wall with his work, but it totally worked.
Then I encountered the work of Alina Saranti, who brought a feminist perspective to landscape.
Then it was the members show that I (once again) didn’t enter. Here are some of my favorites from that show…
I highly encourage you to take a drive over to Winchester to check this show out! It was outstanding. I was very proud to see that my buddy CE Morse got a piece into the show! Congrats Chris!!!
Apologies for all the glare in the images. Looks like this is just about what substack will let me put in your email. More on MassMOCA… manana….
