June this year has been good- the weather hasn’t been too bad (in Texas that’s a great thing!) and my reading has picked up. My grandson is out of school for the summer, so three days a week he’s hanging out with me, which means I can’t read as much, but I don’t mind- he’s so much fun! I’ve also been getting ready for a trip- my husband and I are going on a Mediterranean cruise with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson at the end of this week- so excited! This month, I haven’t done that great with my goals, as you will see, but I’m making some progress. As a reminder, my goal for this year is to read books I already own, with an emphasis on all of the Book of the Month books I have but haven’t read and Advance Reader Copies I never got around to reading. Another part of this goal is to complete reading all of my favorite authors’ books and finish series I started. 📚📖
My plan this year is to do a check-in in the middle of the month as a way of holding myself accountable for my reading goals. ⭐️ I won’t be posting reviews (I’ll save that for my monthly roundup as always), but I will give a few quick thoughts, focusing on how it fits with the goals.
I've slowly been reading one Book of the Month, but haven’t finished it yet.
Two of the books I’ve read were advance reader copies from this year.
I’m up to date with Karen Witemeyer, as one the ARCs I read was her latest book, Part of Your World.
I am almost through the Lady Julia Grey series and I’m on the last book of the Lords of the Rockies series.
I’m making progress, and I’m better than last month- I’ve read seven books so far! For the rest of the month, I’ll be reading books related to my trip, so hopefully there will be some books that fit my goals.
So how is your reading going so far? I’d love to hear if you have any goals and how they are going or anything else!
Happy reading . . . always 📚🍰
