Fresh from the Shelf

Welcome to Fresh From the Shelf, my weekly roundup of new releases. Every Tuesday, I'll share a selection of books hitting shelves that day—some I've already read, some I'm currently reading, and some I'm eagerly anticipating. Think of it as a peek into my reading life, complete with early impressions, recommendations, and a few bookish musings along the way. I finished the series, but I’m not telling what I thought- look for a review coming July 1!

I had great intentions, but never got to reading this. I was too focused on reading the series I mentioned above.

I first found Kirsty Greenwood when I chose Love of My Afterlife for a Book of the Month box. I absolutely loved it. I’ve since read several of her backlist and she’s quickly becoming a favorite. I can’t wait to read this one!

I love Ashley Poston! She’s become an auto-buy author and I am dying to read this one.

My three standout picks for this week are The Shrouded Queen by Ashley Tropea, Tropesick by Laren Okie, and The Great Outdoors by Kayla Olson.

The Shrouded Queen is the first in a duology that centers around Ancient Egyptian mythology. This one sounds so interesting!

Tropesick and The Great Outdoors are both romances that just sounded fun. It’s summer and I just want great escapist reads. These look like they fill that bill!

I love the Mr. Darcy and Miss Tilney series, but I’m behind (shocking, I know). I need to read the book right before this before I read this one.

There are a few other books coming out today that I’ve got my eye on, but may wait on:

1. The Emilys by Heather Abel

2. Forever is the Sweetest Con by Joanna Thurlow

3. Meet Me at the Seaside Cottages by Jenny Colgan

4. Murder at the Spirit Lounge by Jess Kidd
