It seems like the newest trend in wellness is pharmaceuticals, with wellness influences now pushing hormones, peptides & this idea that something synthetic can be bioidentical to what is inside our miraculous body. Especially popular at the moment is health influences selling peptide stacks like the glow stack & the wolverine stack for their cosmetic enhancement attributions. When it comes to the peptide salesmen & women, many of these once activists against the medical industry are now gleefully pushing these injections that contain some of the same harmful substances as the pharmaceuticals they once condemned. They seem to be either unaware of the ingredients in these peptides they’re selling or choosing to forego transparency. In this episode we go back to the original paper isolating the popular GHK-Cu peptide that is in the wolverine stack & the glow stack to see what they actually isolated. We explore how these peptides are made, what they are preserved with & what their effects are. Most importantly, are they really bioidentical? To finish we look at the patent for Lifewave patches to see if they are as natural an alternative to peptides as they claim to be & talk about real accessible solutions you can find in your everyday life.
