Good morning, and happy spring! 🌸
Giving Day is today, March 13th, and we would be so grateful for any donations in support of Anabel’s mission! All donations help replenish our subsidy fund making it possible for us to keep our prices low.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 which will go towards keeping nutritious products affordable for the Cornell community. Thank you for being a part of our mission!
Anabel’s continues to be an important resource for students, with over 600 shoppers every week! We are already halfway through the semester and sales are already 31% higher than last semester.
These are what students have to say about Anabel’s
“I heavily depend on Anabel’s to ensure I am eating properly throughout the week as I can purchase fresh produce on a need-basis.”
“Anabel’s serves such a unique niche (bulk and high quality whole foods) that no other place on campus comes close to matching.”
“Considering the sparse options for grocery store food items for students living on campus, this store has been a lifeline.”
“It’s changed the lives of students who are not able to pay Cornell or collegetown prices for their food.”

Because of your donations we are able to sell products like eggs, oatmilk, broccoli and bok choy much cheaper than Wegmans!
Our suppliers also believe in our mission
Regional Access
We sell large eggs from local free range hens for $0.30 a piece. At Wegmans they sell for over $0.45 a piece. Our distributor, Regional Access, is such a fan of what we are doing at Anabel’s that they have been prioritizing delivering eggs to Anabel’s over local grocery stores. This means that our shoppers have had consistent access to eggs despite the regional and nationwide shortage.
Dilmun Hill Student Farm
Dilmun Hill is a student-run farm that has been practicing sustainable agriculture on Cornell University's campus for more than a decade. In the fall semester, Dilmun Hill provides us with our kale, Swiss chard, kohlrabi, okra, celery, assorted peppers, garlic, cabbage, eggplant, heirloom and cherry tomatoes, and much more.
Stick and Stone Farm
Stick and Stone Farm, owned by Chaw Chang and Lucy Garrison, is a USDA Certified Organic Farm in Ithaca known for specialty Asian vegetables. From Stick and Stone, we receive most of our bok choy, broccoli rabe, Chinese broccoli, eggplant, shishito peppers, delicata squash, and more.
Wide Awake Bakery
Wide Awake Bakery is a community-focused bakery located in Trumansburg. Stefan Senders and Liz Brown work closely with their local partners — Oechsner Farms and Farmer Ground Flour — to make our sourdough breads and granolas from local organic grains.
Goshen Kimchi
We’re proud to get our kimchi from Goshen Kimchi, an all-woman-owned business that shares Anabel’s mission of food accessibility and sustainability. Their commitment runs so deep that they make the four-hour drive from NYC to supply us, ensuring our community has access to high-quality, locally fermented foods.
