I don’t remember the last time we had what I would call a “normal” work week. You know when the parents work, the kids go to school (or camp), everyone has dinner together every night??? That was our week last week and it was so nice!
On the weekend, we celebrated a baby reveal and took a day trip to the beach. Lots of outdoors, family and too much sun and ice cream but that’s what summer’s all about and I wouldn’t change a thing.
My outfits this week were practical and comfortable. It got chilly again and I got to wear jeans again which felt so good (I missed you my favorite barrel jeans). I also got to wear a few new sets for my workouts which I always find super fun and motivating.
Here are the outfits and the links along with my sizing notes:
Your favorite white jean shorts and a special sweater vest : This buttoned cotton sweater vest (I’ve been looking for a great summer sleeveless option that is nice enough to wear to work) is such a great, unique, high-quality piece. The mini rollneck and amazing knit are subtle, but make all the difference in this perfect summer wardrobe addition.

Sizing notes: vest: wearing an XS. shorts: sized up 1, to a 26. wrap sandals: run tts in a 37, medium.
The casual (and affordable) everyday outfit you didn’t know you needed : Here’s an example of a simple and affordable outfit formula because it’s sometimes all we need. These Quince shorts are $32 and they’re great. Just pair with a white tee, a simple necklace, a pair of great sandals. Throw a sweater over the shoulders for warmth and a little interest and you have the perfect work from home outfit.
Quince shorts // white tee // Margaux sandals // ring necklace // fishermen sweater
Sizing notes: linen shorts: Wearing an XS, fisherman Sweater: Sized up 1, to a M for a more overszied fit
A new set for a little outfit motivation: A great workout set needs to feel great and can’t be see through (check, check). Bonus for cute colors and patterns (another check). I just find this one so fun and motivating!
Sizing notes: top: small, leggings: sized up 1 to a M
Finally jumped on the cord sandal trend: You know I’m super wary about trends and I waited a long time on these, but I’m a big fan! I’m always on the hunt for subtle pops of color to add to my wardrobe. These are very fun and very comfortable. In this outfit I paired with your favorite new A-line shorts and a graphic tee. I just felt like the tee and the sandals complimented each other so well.
ecrus denim shorts // graphic tee // cord sandals
Sizing notes: ecru shorts: run tts in a 25, Fish Tee: wearing a size small, red sandals: run tts in a 7 (some reviews mention sizing being slightly big so if in between, size down)
Weekend in town with my girl: I wear outfits like this a lot on the weekend to run errands. This Saturday we gloriously woke up with nothing that needed to get done, but we went to town anyways and treated ourselves to an iced latte and a cake pop. One of my biggest pieces of parenting advice is to find 1:1 time with each of your kids. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, just being together is so special.
shorts // sweatshirt // jelly sandals
Sizing notes: sweater (s/m), shorts (s/m)
I stole the shorts my twin wore all over Europe: I had to pick up my own pair and I’m so happy I did. These are the perfect length with a flattering A-Line shape and come in several perfectly worn in washes. Sold out in a lot of sized on Pistola, I was able to find full inventory! Paired with a white tee, fun jewelry and jelly sandals (does the formula sound familiar??).
yellow shorts // white tee // jelly flip flops // gemstone necklace// beaded necklace // bag alt
Sizing notes: yellow shorts: run tts in a 25; tee: runs tts, wearing a small; jelly sandals: run tts in a 7
A forever suit plus a fav sarong for a quick rip to the beach: Sunday was a 10/10 beach day (80 and sunny) so we had to make a quick trip down to the shore. If you’ve been following a while you know how much I stand by the Hunza G scrunchie suit. Sarong is from last summer and still in perfect shape despite lots of repeat wears. Love the quality, print and length - and that we get to support a small female brand in the process!
Rhone does it again..sign up for restock alerts: Rhone has hit so many home runs this season with their athletic gear. I’ve written extensively about how good the shorts are and this set is also great. So soft, flattering, comfortable and cute. One good thing about Rhone is even though they sell out quickly, they generally do have restocks multiple times on an item so definitely sign up for a restock alert and you may not have to wait long.
Sizing notes: wearing a small in both top & bottom (tts)
The dress you can’t get enough if: I’ve worn this dress for several years now. I love it as much now as when I got it. It constantly shows up on my best sellers list for good reason! So good for church, brunch, the farmer’s market,…anything where you strike the balance between laid back but still pulled together.
smocked dress // sweater // raffia clutch // jellies // sunnies
Sizing notes: dress: wearing an XS. sweater: I sized up 1 to a M for a relaxed fit
My favorite pair of barrel jeans makes an appearance: It felt so good to pull on a pair of jeans again. These are my favorite barrel jeans of all time because I just love the subtle barrel shape. The material is so vintage and premium feeling.
barrel jeans // white tee // sweater // flip flops // bracelet 1 // bracelet 2 // sunnies // bag alt
Sizing notes: jeans: run big, I sized down 1 to a 25, tee: runs tts, wearing a small. Flip Flops: Run tts in a 7. cashmere sweater: runs tts, but I prefer a more relaxed fit so sized up to a M.
A statement piece to instantly elevate the outfit formula: I mean how good are these shorts? They’re definitely a splurge, but the fabric, the fit and the print details are next level. I love how they’re interesting but neutral enough so I can wear them again and again.
floral shorts // white tee // sandals // sunnies // bag (alt)
Sizing notes: tee: runs tts, in a small, shorts: wearing an XS, sandals: I found they run big, so I took a half size down.
