Losers Back Home may be a big theme, but this episode was all about mothers.
Mistake #1 – Jaclyn Not Tracking Her Husband’s Location
Being (a lot) older than your partner means embracing humiliation. And let’s face it, that’s easier for men.
Take Greg. He's not exactly shining in the personality department, and it’s safe to say Chloe’s not in it for his looks. But he seems fine with it. Rick, on the other hand, appears to really care for Chelsea despite his moodiness—but do large age gaps ever really lie about power imbalance? Jaclyn’s situation has me wondering the same thing.
Women are usually too busy lusting after their own youth (through no fault of our own might I add) to lust after younger men who need mommying. But Jaclyn seems so desperate to prove she’s still got it that she ended up marrying one. And now that he’s ignoring her, she’s doubling down on the young n’ fun act like her life depends on it. Valentin better strap up.
I’m not saying her husband married her for money, but I’m not not saying that either. I get the spiral, though. Loving yourself is hard work! Turning on your husband’s location sharing is much easier. <3
Mistake #2 — Lochlan Doing Magic Tricks on the Yacht
You’re scaring the hoes :/
Mistake #3 — Victoria Leaving the Resort Premises
The restraint and grace that Victoria exhibited on this family excursion? Mother of the Year. She was polite to the twenty-somethings. Let her husband get blackout. Didn’t throw a fit when her pills went missing (canonize her). And this is how they treat her?! She deserves to spend her (potential) last days of being rich in peace at the resort where she belongs.
Mistake #4 — The Boss Not Firing Gaitok
Go ahead and clock out for me chief…
Saxon may be wrong about a lot of things. But protein intake is not one of them.
Nothing says Southern Gothic (or White Lotus in general) like a rich guy ranting to strangers about dead parents on his third lorazepam of the day.
Speaking of mother… a moment for Mook. She’s kind of evil for stringing Gaitok along like this, but I kind of love it.
And then we have Chloe in custom Jacquemus channeling Ms. Meredith Blake herself. I have no choice but to stan.
Finally, Lochlan’s ‘Reptile Dysfunction’ shirt from Tombolo is a vibe. Doesn’t his actor’s name appear in the opening credits alongside crocodiles? What does it mean Mike White? The Persols aren’t too shabby either.
See you next week!
