We’re nearly 3.5 months into the whole 2 under 2 thing and my oldest is home sick today (and yesterday) so I’m writing this while he watches trucks on TV after I’ve successfully traumatized him this morning with nasal spray, an electronic nasal aspirator, his inhaler, and two different doses of medicine via a syringe. Basically, a long-winded way of saying I don’t have much time, so here is my very short list of things 2 under 2 isn’t. Enjoy.
2 Under 2 Is Not…
Fun.
Easy.
Restful.

Restorative.
Relaxing.
Rejuvenating.
(really any synonym for ‘peaceful’ that starts with ‘R’)
Rewarding (not a synonym for peaceful, but important to list).
Light-hearted.
For the weak (although, I feel pretty damn weak most days from it, so who’s to say).
A walk in the park (literally yes when we do double stroller walks, but in no way figuratively).
Fair to either parent or child (everyone is overwhelmed and ignored at some level, no matter what).
Cheap.
Clean.
Something I’d suggest, and yet…
Something we didn’t plan for but couldn’t imagine it any other way at this point.
