Dear Diary,
Just got back from Jamaica. Tan almost everywhere, Jan almost everywhere. Hehe. Oh diary, what a week.
I am barely squeaking out Money Diaries this week due to being a full-time SAHM (something I’ve never wanted to be). Ziggy has been home sick with strep, and he is a defiant little fuck who completely shuts down when he’s not feeling well and refuses all medicine, liquid, and food, which almost always exacerbates the illness and makes it 10x worse than it needs to be (He is my soulmate and I love him with the fire of a thousand suns, but he can be a little fuck. He’s my little fuck, though).
Anyway, I’ve somehow successfully avoided banging my head against a wall the past three days out of sheer frustration that my toddler refuses to help himself and that our 3.5 month old, Rhodes, has decided to get a head start on the 4-month sleep regression, which means I have just enough brain cells to share what I spent money on last week and, most interestingly, why.
So here we go.
Monday
The week started out with me venturing to Whole Foods to get a portion of our weekly grocery supply (a lot of yogurt, Goodles, and fish sticks for Zig). In looking at my receipt right now today, I’m realizing that I paid $22.49 for a 14-count pack of mini Chomps jerky sticks, and I’m fucking outraged. WHAT THE FUCK? $22.49 for a bag of jerky?!???! Their stupid marketing worked on me because the bag was this bright yellow and decorated so fun, I just grabbed it without checking the price. Hoisted by my own petard.
I also got a 3-pack of ground beef for $24.99 because I’m tired of not having frozen beef in the fridge for Meat Sauce Mondays or Taco Tuesdays. So that means I spent nearly $50 on MEAT. Who am I, a dude?
