One of my students told me today:
👉 "I understand when I’m in class, but on my own, it’s a different story."
We were working on the relative pronoun "dont". It was our second session, and she had managed to do her homework… but with some help. "It feels like everything gets mixed up in my head," she admitted.
💡 Don’t worry, that’s completely normal!
Think about a baby learning to walk: at first, they need someone to hold their hands. Then, they try on their own, fall a few times, hold onto furniture… and one day, they walk without help!
🧠 Learning grammar is the same process.
First, you need a teacher to guide you through sentence structure.
Then, you start understanding on your own, but it takes time.
Finally, with practice, forming a sentence will only take a few seconds! 🚀
During this learning process, I analyze how you think and adapt my lessons accordingly. For example, to teach you negation:
🎲 I’ll give you scrambled words to put in order.
✍️ Then, you’ll transform sentences into the negative form.
📝 After that, you’ll create your own sentences or even short stories.
🎮 Finally, we’ll play the "Yes or No" game!
At the end of each lesson, I’ll ask you what was difficult and what you enjoyed. Your feedback helps me adapt my teaching to your way of thinking.
