I’m trying to channel that back-to-school energy from my kids this week… but they started with two half days, so I’m not quite feeling the productivity yet! HA. BUT let’s play a little catch-up!?
From balmy nights in Mexico to cooler days back home and in the Bay… playing favorites with a few pieces I’ve been wearing and loving, plus a couple of things currently on my radar.
I’m very much not ready for summer to be over and still want to hold onto some of that summer ease and spontaneity—but I’m also craving the routine and structure that comes with back-to-school (for myself and my sanity).
It’s always a bit of a juggle for me to keep up with work during the summer months, so thank you for sticking with me through the slower weeks. I’m excited to get back into a rhythm around here!
Reading and loving: The Paper Palace — Admittedly, I just started this one, and I know I’m a few years late, so I’m curious who has read it?! I’m already hooked and can’t wait to dive into it more this weekend. Exactly the kind of story I obsess over… complicated relationships, longing, and all the what-ifs.
A chic new minimal shoulder bag: the Fin. This is a great medium-sized, comfy shoulder bag if you’re in the market, and I really like the magnetic closure. If you’re not familiar, I love The Horse for minimal bag styles—they have that very The Row–esque feel for less, with really great leather quality at an under-$300 price point. I’m also a fan of the Fin clutch.
A great sporty, technical jacket — this color is so good, you’ll love.
For the first day of school drop-off (and a quick coffee run before heading to my workout) — I wore this sportier jacket which gives me Miu Miu vibes. The color is just so good… I truly can’t recommend it enough (I took my true size, 0 and it’s the perfect fit).
Back-to-school oldie but goodie: these sporty pants (an mvp for me for my neighborhood walks / workouts and mom-sports life etc.).
A dressier but still casual black pant currently in my cart for that slouchy cool, yet pulled together look. Something I’m really missing in my wardrobe personally.
Early fall pairing: gray tank and chocolate denim.
Thinking about fall sneakers — my Chloé sneakers have been some of my absolute favorites (comfy and fun but also a style you can dress up and wear with a skirt or dress or perhaps to the office) and this new color would be so good with any denim.
Also on my radar, this color from Adidas… picturing them with longer shorts now and wider leg denim. Always on the hunt for good pairs from Celine on TRR.
Obsessing over this flawless coverage. Have you tried m.ph yet?! It’s a must. And don’t zoom in too close below—as always, unedited pics over here because I’m 40 (okay 41 next month) and let’s keep it real.
Something else I didn’t do all summer and have felt really good about:
