Why I Created Alex Street Membership

There are already enough photography websites.

Enough social media platforms.

Enough places asking you to upload more pictures, chase more likes, and compete for attention.

I wasn’t interested in building another one.

What I have always wanted to build is something different.

Something I have been thinking about for years.

Not a portfolio hosting service.

Not a paywall.

Not another subscription.

But a place to belong.

Because photography has never really been about cameras. And it certainly isn’t about algorithms.

It is about people.

It is about memory.

It is about preserving ordinary moments before they disappear.

And it is about connecting with others who feel the same way.

That is why I created Alex Street Membership.

An international network of photographers committed to documenting everyday life.

No tiers.

No premium plans.

No hierarchy.

Just one membership and one community.
