Raised €12 million in a seed round co-led by Earlybird Venture Capital and Base10 Partners, bringing total funding to €15.2 million.
🇩🇪 NanoStruct: Würzburg-based, founded 2021 as a spin-off of Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. NanoStruct has developed nanostructured optical sensor chips that detect Listeria and Salmonella in food production within hours rather than the two-to-three days required by standard culture methods, using machine learning to classify pathogens from spectral readouts. Raised €2.6 million in a seed round co-led by HTGF, Bayern Kapital, and AUXXO Female Catalyst Fund.
🇬🇧 Tolemy Bio: Cambridge-based, founded 2024. Tolemy Bio’s Orbit platform combines bench data ingestion, virtual cell models, and AI research agents to recommend process and media adjustments for cell biology teams, with two commercial partnerships live in cell and gene therapy manufacturing. Raised €1.4 million in pre-seed funding led by Norrsken Evolve.
