Understanding melt pool behavior and defect formation is critical for improving reliability in metal additive manufacturing. In this upcoming webinar, researchers from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad will present a **validated study on multitrack Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) of Inconel 718 using AM PravaH developed by Paanduv Applications.
The session will demonstrate how physics-based simulation combined with experimental validation can accurately predict melt pool evolution, thermal behavior, and defects such as balling and lack of fusion. It will also highlight how simulation helps researchers and engineers reduce trial-and-error in parameter development and improve process reliability.
Date: 18 March 2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM IST
Speakers:
• Prof. Mukul Shukla – Mechanical Engineering, MNNIT Allahabad
• Dr. Anuj Kumar – PhD, MNNIT Allahabad
This webinar is ideal for researchers, engineers, and professionals working in metal additive manufacturing, process modeling, and simulation.
