Many 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗟𝗣𝗕𝗙) simulations look accurate on screen but fail to match experimental results. Multitrack LPBF involves complex melt pool dynamics, rapid thermal cycles, and material interactions that cannot be reliably captured without experimental validation.
Without validation, simulations may miss critical defects such as balling, lack of fusion, and unstable melt pool behaviour.
In this upcoming webinar, researchers from Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology, Allahabad (MNNIT) will present a validated computational study on multitrack LPBF modelling of Inconel 718 using AM PravaH®.
The session will demonstrate how physics-based simulation combined with experimental validation improves process understanding, enhances prediction accuracy, and reduces costly trial-and-error in metal additive manufacturing.
