A 2-minute practice for when every part of you is right

Midweek.

Something already happened where more than one part of you showed up at once.

Maybe you handled it. Maybe you didn’t. Either way — the grab was there.

Not the decision.

The moment before the decision, when your inner world starts to tighten and choose for you.

Here’s a two-minute downshift.

The Grab Check (2 minutes)

Pick one moment from the last 48 hours when you felt split.
Not stressed. Split.

Now rewind to the second right before you responded.

Don’t replay what happened.
Replay what it felt like.

Where is the grab in your body?

Chest. Throat. Jaw. Behind the eyes. Belly.

Stay with that exact location for ten seconds.
Not the story. The sensation.

Give it three simple descriptors:

  • temperature (hot / cool / neutral)

  • texture (tight / buzzy / heavy / sharp / numb)

  • direction (pulling forward / pulling back / collapsing / bracing)

That’s not noise. That’s information.

It’s a part of you trying to speak in the only language it has.

You don’t have to solve it.
Just notice this:

Your body was talking before you had words.

If you want one clean next move, try a sentence that buys the rest of you time:

“Let me sit with that for a minute.”
“Say a little more — I want to understand what you’re seeing.”

With you in this,
Adam
