Hi Sibling, this is one is a little Impromptu but I have to tell you.
Last night, my immediate younger brother led our evening devotion. He spoke for about ten minutes, and it was one of the most powerful teachings I’ve ever heard. My heart was overflowing with joy. It’s one thing to serve the Lord yourself, but it’s another thing entirely to watch your sibling serve Him with such depth and understanding of Scripture. This is something I constantly pray for, not just for my biological siblings, but for my friends and my siblings in Christ as well.
He spoke about how truly powerless Satan is. Scripture tells us that Jesus made a public spectacle of Satan. He explained the weight of that phrase—public spectacle. In the Roman Empire, public displays were reserved for thieves. Their fingers and toes were cut off, leaving them completely powerless and exposed. This was the imagery used to describe what Jesus did to Satan: He disarmed him, exposed him, and stripped him of authority.
Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Colossians 2:15 NKJV
So the question arises—if Satan is powerless, how does he still attack believers? Through lies. He builds on deception, and when those lies are believed, we unknowingly give him the upper hand. This is why studying God’s Word matters so deeply. Truth is not just knowledge; it is our defense. It is how we stand.
Scripture reminds us that Satan is a liar and the father of lies.
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
John 8:44 NKJV
In contrast, Jesus declares, I am the way, the truth, and the life.
Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

It was truly beautiful to witness and deeply comforting to be reminded that our victory is rooted, finished, and secured in Christ. I wrote this in minutes and used hours to find a title.
