No bake black forest icebox cake

I mean, aren’t cherries just gorgeous?

As a forever lover of a soggy cookie (especially an Oreo) + a big-time fan of a Black Forest cake, this combo just makes sense. Take that with my newfound love of the chocotorta (thanks to my world’s favorite small treats series), and you’ve got yourself a layered, creamy, cold dessert winner.

This no bake Black Forest icebox cake combines so many things I love about summer baking: cold and creamy desserts, seasonal fruit, and minimal cook time (cause it’s too hot for all that).

Layers of Oreos (cream filling removed for an extra cake-y vibe once softened), cream cheese whipped cream, and homemade cherry sauce. You can omit the whip on top and spread more in between for thicker layers, but, personally, I love a fluffy top finish.
