245/2026 Appoints Stephen Hammerschmidt (Candidate for councillor in O-day’min BE), Bryan Kwan, Denis Painchaud, and Angela Tripathy to the Law Enforcement Review Board.
246/2026 Proclaims section 4(7) and (8) of the Red Tape Statutes Amendment Act. These two subsections are part of the amendments to the Alberta Land Stewardship Act (the main law governing regional, sub-regional, and issue-specific land-use and environmental plans in Alberta). Bringing them into force: Clarifies and streamlines how “standalone” plans and ministerial instruments (rules, codes of practice, guidelines, etc.) are treated under the regional planning framework.
247/2026 Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (section 187) Makes the waste control amendment regulation.
248/2026 MINES AND MINERALS ACT (section 5) - Makes the Mines and Minerals Administration Amendment Regulation. Amends the general administration and procedural rules for how the Department of Energy and Minerals handles mineral agreements, royalties, reporting, payments, audits, etc.
249/2026 Sections 5 and 36 (1) Enhanced Hydrocarbon Recovery Royalty Amendment Regulation. This program gives royalty incentives (often a flat 5% rate) to companies that use enhanced recovery techniques (e.g., injecting water, CO₂, solvents, or other methods) to extract more oil/gas from older pools.
250/2026 Sections 5 and 36(1)) - Makes the Incremental Hydrocarbon Recovery Royalty Regulation. A more targeted incentive program for incremental (additional) production gained through enhanced recovery methods. It likely defines how royalties are calculated specifically on the “extra” hydrocarbons recovered beyond what would have been produced normally.
Purpose: Encourages investment in technologies that squeeze more resources out of existing reservoirs.
251/2026 MINES AND MINERALS ACT (sections 5 and 36(1)) - Makes the Natural Gas Royalty Regulation, 2017 Amendment Regulation.
It updates the rules for calculating and administering royalties on:
Natural gas
Natural gas products (e.g., ethane, propane, butanes)
Field condensate
Related substances
This regulation is part of Alberta’s Modernized Royalty Framework (MRF) that applies to most wells drilled on or after January 1, 2017.
252/2026 MINES AND MINERALS ACT (sections 5 and 36(1)) - Makes the Petroleum Royalty Regulation, 2017 Amendment Regulation.
What it does: It introduces specific changes to how petroleum royalties (mainly on conventional crude oil and solution gas) are calculated, reported, or administered under the 2017 framework.
253/2026 Appoints Aarn Wennekers to the Board of Governors of Mount Royal University.
254/2026 Appoints Craig Corbett, Brian de Haan to the Board of Governors of NAIT.

258/2026 GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATION ACT (section 16) - Makes the Designation and Transfer of Responsibility Amendment Regulation. It formally transfers or adjusts ministerial responsibilities. Governments do this regularly when they reorganize departments, create new ministries, or shift duties between ministers.
259/2026 REGULATIONS ACT (section 10) - Makes the Miscellaneous Corrections Regulation. This order makes minor technical corrections across various Alberta regulations.
Typical fixes include:
Fixing spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors.
Correcting cross-references to section numbers that changed in other laws.
Updating outdated names of ministries, agencies, or titles.
Small wording clarifications that don’t change the meaning or intent of the rules.
260/2026 LAND AND PROPERTY RIGHTS TRIBUNAL ACT (section 3) - Appoints 14 persons as members of the Land and Property Rights Tribunal
261/2026 ALBERTA PUBLIC AGENCIES GOVERNANCE ACT (section 14) -exempts the reappointment of Patricia Butler as a public member to a roster of eligible persons to act as members of any review panel
By issuing this exemption, the government is saying:
Patricia Butler has valuable experience and qualifications.
They want to reappoint her without being restricted by the standard term limits or other governance rules that would otherwise apply.
This allows continuity on Mental Health Review Panels.

Measles Tracker - We now have the highest number of Measles Cases in the world, and to think it was almost eradicated 50 years ago. Thanks in part to Alberta, Canada has lost its Measles Eradication Status.

First trip in two years for Weibe and Cyr. What does a PS of rural health have to do with business, you ask? Not sure.
This makes 3/27 UCP Ministers and 4/9 Parliamentary Secretaries that are jetting off after the Legislature sat for the summer. Only 32 more to send on trips. They have taken 25 trips and been gone for 139 days.
So far this year they have gone to Helena, Montana; San Diego, California; 2 people to India; Reno, Nevada; UAE; 2 people to Anchorage Alaska; 2 people to Salem, Oregon; Salt Lake City, Utah; Barcelona Spain; Houston, Texas; 2 people to Houston Texas; China, Vienna, Austria; New Orleans; France and Italy; Japan and South Korea; France; and Germany, 3 people to Salt Lake City, Utah..
I thought that was why we were paying for all those foreign offices to liaise re: Alberta. Schow has gone to Europe twice this year; his other trip was to Barcelona, Spain.

In Alberta, there is evidence of foreign interference. They want to convince you to vote for “what they want,” or not to vote at all, so they can create disruption and chaos.
This is important. They count on panic; an example is ICE invading Minnesota. The people there responded that they had a plan and they successfully implemented it. Albertans can do this too! Organize, educate, plan, implement.
You have the power to stop this. They are putting out disinformation, misinformation, and malinformation. They don’t have a vote, and they don’t have to live with the consequences. YOU and YOUR FAMILY/COMMUNITY DO. Let’s spread information, ask questions, listen, and effect change in our communities.
When looking at the NINE Original Referendum Questions, the standard answers should be “Just Say NO!” Number 10 - choose the first option “Stay in Canada.”
I don’t know about you, but I feel assaulted by the UCP and their supporters. They want to take Alberta apart, the Alberta that I grew up in, where neighbours looked after each other.
People from different countries who gave us so much of their culture - the foods, music, customs that we can learn from. Alberta has benefited from the rich, vibrant community we have built. Understanding leads to appreciation. So let’s recognize that everyone has families that they want to protect and raise, just like you, and let’s celebrate Alberta together.
