(The sky was pretty, had to post!)
We keep waiting for being chosen. To be loved, loudly where all our silences make sense. Or to be seen without looking.
But what if to feel love is the only way to become it?
Louise Hay said, life is a mirror. What you seek is seeking you, it will make a complete circle. And that is exactly what Si vis Amari, ama taught me once again. With no condition, just being in that state.
For a long time I used to believe love has to be earned. That something might be wrong with me. I need some fixing. Maybe it is not about deserving, it is about willingness. Showing up. Being kind even if it is easier to push away.
Loving doesn't mean you are weak, it means you choose to be softer. It means saying what you mean without holding it in. It means letting yourself be you even if it is difficult. It means seeking for depth even if it feels inconvenient.
The love you give will not come back the same way. And it is totally okay. You don't have to stop being yourself, if someone doesn't know how to hold space for you. You don't have to stop being kind just because someone mistook your softness for weakness.
You don't have to choose between being strong and being loved. You can be both because the strongest people know how to do both.
Love because of who you are, not because it will come back someday. Not because it is the only way of living. But because love, if true, will always find a way back to you — not from the same person, maybe not in the same form, but it will complete a circle.
Si vis Amari, ama — so if you want to be loved, love.
And if you are still waiting, start with yourself, because it is the only way.

Aayushi.
