I used to think that once i reached this point in my life, i would finally be happy. That once this phase was over, i wouldn’t wake up dreading each day anymore. I convinced myself that everything i was feeling was temporary and soon those days would come and i would feel more alive.
But those days have finally come.I am living the life i spent so long looking forward to, yet i don't feel the happiness i thought i would experience.
if those times have passed by then why am i still waiting for it to still arrive?
We keep telling ourselves that we will finally be happy once we get through this or that phase once we become the person we’ve always imagined ourselves to be.
But life doesn’t seem to work that way.
There isn’t a magical morning where everything falls into place ( radiohead ref lol) . There isn’t a moment where your mind decides it no longer has anything to worry about.
For a long time i believed happiness was something you earned.
Maybe that's why so many people reach the life they once dreamed of and still feel strangely empty. because they expected a destination to give them something only they could learn to create.
It's a difficult feeling to admit because it sounds selfish
How can you be unhappy when you have so much to be grateful for?Gratitude and unhappiness can exist at the same time.
one feeling does not erase the another one. they both can coexist at the same time.
