you aren’t “niche”…you are just like everyone else

You have probably seen those reels with some random background and pink/yellow/ whatever colour text saying, “I’m so niche.” blah blah blah

And then the second u scroll down you see the exact same copy of the reel above just with a different background .

If everyone is saying they’re niche… is anyone actually niche? ( or maybe they just say that to fit in ). People just want to prove that they are different from everyone else and they just want other people to see it.

Maybe the thing that’s actually common is wanting to be seen as uncommon. We have started treating being ordinary like it’s something to avoid. (😡)

As if having common interests or liking popular things somehow makes you less interesting. Like hello?????since when did liking what everyone else likes become such a bad thing??????

if everyone is trying to be the exception, then being the exception isn’t really that exceptional anymore

You don’t lose your individuality just because millions of other people enjoy the same things you do. Your personality isn’t measured by how “niche” your interests are.

Most of us just want to feel like we’re more than another person in a crowd. We want something that feels like it’s ours. We have started looking for that feeling in the wrong places.

You don’t have to prove to anyone that u are niche. You don’t have to keep telling people how different you are or go looking for things just to seem unique. Just like what you like because you actually like.

Being similar to other people doesn’t make you any less interesting. Your individuality does not come from having the most niche interests. It comes from the person you choose to be.
