The MN State Fair opens today and that means we’re screeching to the end of summer! Pumpkin spice is already trending (more on that soon) and fall is coming fast, so here are five favorite recipes to make with fresh produce before summer officially slips away!
Summer Berry Shortcake-Cobbler - The best of two biscuit worlds, the cobbler and the shortcake!
Raspberry Angel Food Cake - An ethereal, dreamy cake covered in berry-studded whipped cream!
Blueberry Muffins - Great any time of year, but especially now with fresh fruit.
Strawberry Hand Pies - Fun for breakfasts or lunchboxes! If you have rhubarb still (or froze some, like I always do), make my classic strawberry-rhubarb pie.
Peach Ice Cream - Irresistibly refreshing on the hottest days.
Last night Charlie texted me from a friend’s house and asked if he could add blueberries to his scone recipe. As you can imagine, I was OVER THE MOON that he was making scones and immediately sent him this Blueberry Scone Recipe! I may be more excited about this than him and his buddies. ;)
Paris in the fall is perfection! The heat of summer has subsided, the lines of tourists are thinned out, and most importantly, IMHO, it’s baking season, which we will take full advantage of. Come learn the A-Z of a french baguette, do a pastry tour of my favorite shops, visit food and antique markets, private tours of museums, make macarons and flaky croissants, drink Champagne and make new friends. That’s just a bit of what we will be up to in one of the most beautiful cities on earth.
We’ve had a couple of spots open up and we’d LOVE for you to join us!
