YU Jozi Chapter Event & More

Hello South Africa,

If you are reading this, it means you have RSVP’d for one of our events or subscribed to our updates. Most likely, you found us through our work on Open Streets in Cape Town or Johannesburg, and our shared belief that streets can be more than places to park private cars or move traffic through as fast as possible.

They can be places for people, movement, public life, local business, safety and connection. If you care about how our cities are managed, designed and experienced, you are in the right place. For those based in Jozi who want to be more involved in how we manage, design and shape our cities, please join us for our first Young Urbanists Jozi Chapter event.

This is open to anyone interested in cities, public space, mobility, housing, planning, design and local action.

We will share what the chapter is working on, hear what people want to see next, and start building a regular local space for dialogue, learning and action.

PS: Main St Sundays is happening in the same week again on the 21st of June that is a partnership between us and Jozi my Jozi. You can RSVP here for free for the open street experiment and yes, you can catch the Gautrain to Main St where there will be a shuttle from Park Station to the street experiment.
