Having a drawing party was a good excuse to draw this picture

Confession: I was nervous to throw a drawing party, ‘cause I thought, “What if people don’t want to draw or think I’m dumb for throwing a drawing party?”

But I did it anyway. And it all worked out pretty well ‘cause you know what? People love to draw. And they love to draw in a group next to other people who are drawing too. So do the world a favor and throw your own drawing party. You won’t regret it.

👉 Here’s how it BEGAN

Thank you Kettle-masters Adriane and Pat for hosting us and bartenders Dermot and Sione for taking care of us!

👉 Here’s how I PREPARED

I bought cheap-ish supplies: pens, markers, crayons and pencils for people to draw with and paper in rolls to cover tabletops and I even bought some cheap sketchbooks just in case.

👉 Here’s how I made it FUN and WELCOMING

👉 Here’s how it GOT IT GOING when people arrived

Below is a small sampling of some of the drawings by artists and non-artists.
