Our recent experiment with prediction markets got a lot of feedback from investors and advanced traders in the past week. The following became very clear: existing infrastructure is built entirely for retail.
Advanced traders want a better experience to trade prediction markets. From the information and analytical layer to the execution layer. They are increasingly expressing dissatisfaction with existing solutions on X, and it’s only a matter of time before the “Blur of Prediction Markets” gets built (Blur vs OpenSea), succeeding Polymarket.
Liquidity providers are eager to deploy into prediction markets but do not have a secure, institutional-grade solution that protects them with methods like atomic hedging and circuit breakers.
Polymarket’s hybrid Web2/Web3 architecture falls extremely short here. It is inevitable for a DeFi native solution to capture trading demand, both from advanced traders and institutional liquidity providers.
Yai Markets transforms prediction markets from siloed Web2 matching engines into a composable DeFi solution that can leverage the entire on-chain Solana ecosystem:
Synchronous Crankless Execution: Order matching and balance settlement occur instantly within a single Solana slot, which eliminates slow asynchronous event queues that bridge Web2/Web3 hybrid architectures, which can be impacted by Web2 server congestion.
Atomic Smart Circuit Breakers: Risks controls are enforced at the transaction level. This protects large LP capital from anomalous price velocity or oracle data. If any thresholds are crossed, the execution instantly rolls back, neutralizing toxic front-running bots before maker orders get filled.
Cross-Protocol Atomic Hedging: LPs can execute an event trade and instantly open delta-neutral hedges, in the exact same transaction block. This effectively in-houses the high volume crypto up/down timeframe prediction markets, enabling deeper liquidity for them.
