Dannie Peng, reporting from China’s energy heartland. The US needs an energy heartland. Sooner or later, the United States of America will have one too. I think Wyoming and Nebraska will be right at the center. I’m not thinking ethanol. I’m thinking a renaissance in coal.
I will follow up with an article about China’s nuclear reactors for electrical generation. The US has huge, unresolved, nuclear fuel issues and the Chinese have not hamstrung themselves like we have over fuel. The storage of nuclear wastes and the reprocessing of nuclear wastes need to be resolved before the US starts heavily investing in nuclear again.
