A diagnosis should never become a final identity or an excuse to stop striving. Depression, autism, bipolar disorder, addiction, anxiety, and countless other diagnoses describe patterns and vulnerabilities. They do not define the limits of a human life. Too many people turn diagnoses into endpoints instead of starting points. Growth often requires painful confrontation with consequences before change finally becomes possible.
