But, the helpful customer service person in the United Club at DIA got us two exit row seats on the 7:45 flight to Chicago, which was leaving at 10:30 — the scheduled time for our original flight.
So here we are, posting from the food court at O’Hare, where we were greeted leaving our flight by Rita’s sister Lynn, who had arrived from Montana before us and was at our arrival gate! Rita and Lynn hadn’t seen each other for two years, so it was very exciting for them! Here’s a picture I just took in the food court.
Our flight to Zurich starts boarding at 3:05, just 15 minutes from now and a short walk from the food court. We’re looking forward to our Polaris seats!
Regarding the climate change comment, does anyone honestly doubt that global warming is causing the horrendous weather changes we are seeing worldwide — heat domes, tornadoes where they rarely were before, and crazy storms like those which locked down O’Hare this morning? I heard on the news that Illinois has had 200 tornadoes this season. And Europe, our destination, is baking under the second heat dome of the summer. It is reported that Europe is the continent most affected by climate change.
