We’ve all been there. Some spaces are so intentionally designed and full of personality that they become just as memorable as the characters who live in them.
After seeing Alice Lane’s reel about favorite homes from movies and TV shows, it sparked a conversation in the office about the spaces we’ve always loved. We asked our team to share the homes they still think about, and of course, everyone had a favorite. Here are the ones that made the list!
This was one of the first responses we got, and honestly, it made so much sense. This traditional American style home feels familiar the moment you see it. With its warm yellow tones and classic details, it doesn’t feel like a home designed just to look good on camera. Instead, it feels like a place where people would truly gather and spend time together. A home where family traditions could grow and where generations could grow into the space. That’s probably why this one has been a favorite for so many years.
No one could agree on just one house, so we decided both deserved a spot.
Nick Parker’s Napa ranch and Elizabeth James’ London townhouse are completely different, but that’s what makes them so fun to compare. The ranch has that relaxed, indoor outdoor feel that invites you to linger, while the London townhouse feels traditional yet personal.
What we love about both is how much personality they have. From warm woods and natural textures of the ranch to the classic details and collected feel of the townhouse, each space feels purposefully designed and completely unique.
This one was an easy yes. The house feels beautifully imperfect in the best way. Nothing looks like it was chosen just to fill a room. The furniture, artwork, and details all feel like they have been gathered over time.
There is something so relaxing about a space that doesn’t feel overly finished. By the end of the movie, you’re not thinking about how to recreate the rooms in your own home, you’re thinking about how quickly you could pack your bags and spend a summer there.
We knew many Nancy Meyers homes were going to make the list, and this one is no exception. Everyone remembers the kitchen, but the whole house is what makes it so memorable. The spaces in this Spanish style hacienda feel beautiful without feeling too formal. You can picture people cooking, sitting around the island, and spending hours together. The balance is what makes this home so appealing. It looks beautiful, but it also feels like a place meant for everyday life.
The home in Stepmom has a completely different feeling than It’s Complicated. While both have that Nancy Meyers charm, this one feels a little more personal and relaxed. The spaces feel like they are ever changing, with pieces added because they were loved rather than because everything needed to match perfectly.
What makes these rooms work is that they don’t feel overly decorated. They feel comfortable and natural, like the home has grown with the people living there.
The Parrish mansion feels like a place with a past before the story begins. For such a grand house, it never feels cold. One of our favorite spots in the home is the staircase, but honestly the way the whole home is designed balances all of the dramatic architecture. It makes the whole house feel like the perfect setting for a story where anything can happen.
This one came up with a comment that made us laugh because honestly we’ve probably all had the same thought. Who didn’t watch this movie and wonder how we could own a bookstore and somehow afford an apartment like that in New York?
Kathleen’s brownstone apartment feels like a space that slowly became her own. The bookshelves are full, the patterns are mixed, and nothing feels too precious. It feels personal without feeling like everything was chosen at once, which is what makes the apartment feel so much like her.
This home feels completely different from the others on the list. The interiors feel so connected to the architecture and the surrounding landscape that everything works together as one experience.
This home has such a distinct feeling. The rooms feel bold but still controlled in a way that feels really intentional. Nothing feels like it is competing for attention. The home sets the tone for the entire film and pulls you into its world. You can actually tour this home in Milan - it’s the Villa Necchi Campiglio - and I hear it’s a must see.

Every episode gives you another room to admire. The homes are full of personality and lean into the details that make the show’s design so unique. It’s such a fun reminder that your home doesn’t have to be afraid of being a little unexpected. Sometimes the spaces we remember most are the ones that take a chance.
There’s something special about a historical home, especially one with classic British charm. The interiors immediately stood out with their rich colors and intricate details. Every room feels finished and intentional, with every piece having its place. The spaces feel elegant, timeless, and like they were made to be admired.
Seeing a house in a movie can make you think, “I get why this is beautiful,” but then you watch the movie and suddenly see the home completely differently.
A still photo can show you the details but seeing the space in the story gives you a better sense of its personality. You start to notice the way the rooms connect, the feeling of the home and how the space reflects the people who live there. Sometimes a room might not stand out in a single shot but watching the movie makes you understand why it works. It’s less about one perfect image and more about the feeling the home creates.
We could have kept going forever because there are so many spaces worth talking about. The fun part about these interiors is that they let us dream a little. They remind us to play with color, embrace the unexpected, and create spaces that feel like our own.
