Lucy Brouwer · Watson Fothergill Walk - Lucy Brouwer

I’ve been busy behind the scenes researching future events, and I think I managed to send out the last bulletin without all the info… so read on.

First of all, I’m trying out a new tour idea and running a Work in Progress event on Thursday 27 August, 11 am.

It’s a look at the history and styles of some of Nottingham’s Public Art, sculpture, statues and street art.

The meeting place will be Blend Cafe inside Nottingham Contemporary - it would be great to get some feedback on my ideas and come up with a better title! Places are strictly limited, please book in advance.

Nottingham Public Art Tour, Thursday, 27 August, tour starts 11 am (But feel free to come earlier. Nottingham Contemporary and Blend Cafe open from 10 am.) Tickets are £10 each.

Talks in the pub is back! I have booked the Goldings Room at The Vat & Fiddle once more to re-run two of the most popular events from earlier in the year.

If you missed these talks, they have both sold out several times over. I had fun exploring the history of some of Nottingham’s most interesting venues and the memories they hold. The talks, which will be at The Vat & Fiddle (the award-winning Castle Rock Brewery pub near Nottingham Station) are as follows:

Nottingham’s Berni Inns & their Buildings, Wednesday 23 September, 7 pm

Nottingham’s Art Deco Pubs, Monday, 19 October, 7 pm

Tickets for these talks are £10 each plus booking fees or £10 cash from the Vat & Fiddle bar. (Please note different days of the week from the last run!).

At the time of writing, there are just 2 tickets remaining for The Hine Hike on Wednesday, 19 August, 6 pm. This is the last evening one of these for this year.

Watson Fothergill Walk on Sunday, 23 August is now sold out, but there are new dates on Sunday, 6 September, 10 am & Sunday, 13 September, 2 pm. Tickets here.
