Many editors (at one point, myself included) collect a lot of editing assets, but they’re not saving any time with them. At first, they think that the more they have, the easier editing will become.
Folders full of transitions, textures, overlays, LUTs and sounds.
A hard drive full of assets they downloaded because they thought they’d save time.
At some point, they sit down to edit and discover they’re spending more time trying to make those assets work together than actually creating.
Sound familiar?
It’s a problem I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.
At Videos Change Reality, we’ve always tried to solve it by building Play Sets around complete aesthetic worlds. Instead of giving you random assets, we give you collections designed to work together from the start.
Lately, I’ve been taking that idea even further by continuing to update existing Play Sets so they combine more naturally across the entire VCR system,, helping you spend less time searching, matching, and second-guessing your choices.
I don’t want you to spend your time collecting assets, but rather, to create more edits with ease.
Tomorrow, Infinite Play owners will receive the first of those updates.
More soon.

If today’s tip helped, here’s how to go deeper with the VCR system:
The complete VCR system: every current Play Set and every future release, included automatically. Built for uninterrupted creative work.
Focused tools for motion, texture, sound, and color. Use them individually or as part of the larger system.
A curated entry point. Essential assets designed to help you enter Playflow quickly.
Explore the system when you’re ready. The tools will be here.
