We are up before the sun, sitting at our home computers with coffee and approximately 47 tabs open, dreaming, planning, writing, designing, and sending each other messages that usually begin with, “Okay, hear me out…”
And then we get to go to work.
We walk into a boutique filled with beautiful wedding dresses, spend our days with brides, and somehow leave with even more ideas than we had when we arrived.

There’s romantic…and then there’s Primrose. She’s the kind of gown that looks like she belongs somewhere between a wildflower garden and your bridal Pinterest board.
Her modern corset bodice adds a little edge to all that softness, with a sculpted sweetheart neckline, visible structure, and delicate cotton lace layered over sheer detailing. Turn around, and she gets even better: a lace-up corset back creates that beautifully cinched, adjustable fit while adding a detail that feels undeniably bridal without feeling traditional.
And then comes the part that made us fall for her: the skirt. Layers of ethereal tulle drape and float instead of feeling stiff or overly structured, while oversized lace blooms seem to disappear in and out of the fabric as the gown moves. She’s airy, romantic, and ridiculously dreamy without ever crossing into princess-overload territory.
We have to talk about her colors, too. Champagne Primrose stole our hearts. The warmer undertone brings out every bit of her lace and corset detail and gives the entire gown an almost vintage-romantic glow. But in ivory? She becomes pure, soft bridal beauty. Two colors, two completely different moods. We genuinely don’t know how you’re supposed to choose. This might be one of those times when you just have to try her on. 🌸

Can we collectively agree to stop letting the number inside a wedding dress ruin our day?
Because bridal sizing is weird. Truly.
Wedding gowns don’t follow the sizing you’re accustomed to seeing in your everyday clothes, and there isn’t even one universal bridal size chart. A 14 from one designer can measure completely differently from a 14 hanging right beside it from another.
And here’s something that surprises a lot of brides: the size on our sample gown does not tell you who can try it on.
When we say a gown is a size 14 sample, that does not mean you need to be a size 14 to put it on. Depending on the gown and how it fits, we may be clipping it beautifully onto a size 2 bride or adding extenders to open it to help a size 22 bride see the silhouette. Our size 24 samples can give an even wider range of brides the opportunity to experience a gown that may ultimately be ordered from approximately size 2 through 32.

Boutiques simply can’t stock every gown in every available size. Instead, we carefully choose sample sizes that allow us to offer the widest, most exciting collection possible, and then we use a little dressing-room magic to help you see what that gown can become when it’s made for you.
The same idea applies to our Velvet Vault gowns. Because those dresses are purchased directly off the rack rather than reordered, the sample size matters a little more, but probably not as much as you think.
Wedding gowns are designed with alterations in mind, and nearly every bride will need some type of alteration. Why? Because you’re a real human being, not the mannequin proportions on a designer’s size chart. Depending on the gown’s construction and available seam allowance, a skilled bridal alterations professional can often make surprisingly significant adjustments. That means a Vault gown labeled size 14 may potentially work beautifully for someone several sizes above or below that number.
So please: don’t shop the tag. Let us shop the dress.
And when you’re special-ordering your gown? That’s when sizing becomes our job.
We’ll take your measurements, compare them with that specific designer’s size chart, and talk through what life might look like between today and your wedding. Expecting a baby? Experiencing body changes? Using a GLP-1 and anticipating continued weight loss? Maintaining exactly where you are? Tell us. There is zero judgment. We simply want all the information we can use to make a thoughtful ordering decision with you.
